Love to COOK?
If you love to cook or bake this is the place to be! I really really LOVE to try new recipes and just COOK and BAKE! So now I can hear your advice and we can share recipes tips and stories!
Sorry I haven't posted in a long time. Here is a recipe to make up for that:
Pear Tart
Ingredients:
3 pears peeled and sliced in half (Squeeze lemon juice on them so they don't turn brown)
Half cup sugar
Half stick butter
Prepared puff pastry
cast iron pan
Steps...
Heat a cast iron pan on the stove and let the butter melt in it. Sprinkle sugar evenly over melted butter. Let it carmalize. Place sliced pears right next to each other ontop of the carmalized sugar and butter. If there is a gap in the center cover with another piece of pear. Cover with the puff pastry, if there are any edges hanging over cut them off. Shut the heat off and let the heat inside of the pan cook the tart for a few minutes. Next put the tart in the oven for about 20-30 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown. Let cool (for about 15 mins. or les) and serve with vanilla ice cream or cool whip.
ENJOY!!!
